MicroFluor
A New X-ray Fluoroscope Technology
The MicroFluor, a new x-ray fluoroscope technology, is presently being demonstrated by Glenbrook Technologies. The MicroFluor performs, in effect, like a fluoroscopic x-ray microscope having a 50 millimeter field of view.
Real-time, video viewed, x-ray images are magnified up to 20 times and recorded as still or video movies. The video displayed fluoroscopic image exhibits detail ten times or more of that of conventional fluoroscopy. In addition, the high sensitivity of the technology results in dose rates that have been estimated to be 1/200th of conventional fluoroscopy.
The technology is based on Glenbrook's proprietary x-ray imaging technology.

It is anticipated that this technology would permit highly magnified, non-invasive fluoroscopic viewing of stents and other implants wherein proper positioning of the implant and developing problems such as restenosis could be diagnosed.
